With this post, not only will I introduce myself to everybody, but you will be participating in my very first blogging experience. I hope that the series of postings that ensue would be captivating.
\nI go by my middle name, Will, since my German first name is often butchered and honestly not a very modern stylish name. \u00a0Some interesting facts about me: I was born and lived in South Africa until I was 12 and immigrated to Canada. I\u2019m 24 now but technically spent more time in Canada and identify as Canadian. I Graduated high school, dabbled around at Cap for a bit, then joined the Justice Institute of British Columbia\u2019s Firefighting School \u2013 which I completed. I\u2019m a certified Firefighter Level 1&2, and also certified Fire Officer Level 1&2. Alongside these I have a score of other smaller certifications, the coolest of which is HAZMAT and weapons of mass destruction response training.
\nAfter a few more years of trying to find a firefighting job in a very competitive environment, I decided to return to Cap and pursue my former ambitions of becoming an Engineer student. Engl 214 is part of my attempt to revive a shot GPA, and after last semester\u2019s encouraging academic performance I\u2019m looking forward to further my schooling.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
