In particular we want to review select pages and\/or poems from Blake&#8217;s so called &#8220;illuminated books,&#8221; which are early hypermedia combinations of word and image.\u00a0 The &#8220;illuminated books&#8221; collection in its entirety can be found <a title=\"Blake - Illuminated Books\" href=\"http:\/\/www.blakearchive.org\/blake\/indexworks.htm\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>, but for our purposes a quick glance at two or three pages\/poems from Blake&#8217;s <a title=\"Songs of Innocence and Experience\" href=\"http:\/\/www.blakearchive.org\/exist\/blake\/archive\/copy.xq?copyid=songsie.b&amp;java=no\" target=\"_blank\">Songs of Innocence and Experience<\/a> or <a title=\"The Marriage of Heaven and Hell\" href=\"http:\/\/www.blakearchive.org\/exist\/blake\/archive\/copy.xq?copyid=mhh.i&amp;java=no\" target=\"_blank\">The Marriage of Heaven and Hell<\/a> will suffice.\u00a0 Note that each link given on these pages is an individual page of the original work, and some poems (&#8220;The Tyger&#8221;) may be more familiar than others.<\/p>\n<p><i>Assignment Due: <\/i>Position Paper\u00a0#2 (10%).\u00a0Assignments will be collected in class.
