My Self Introduction

My name is Darren and I am a second year student at Capilano with the intent to transfer over to UBC or SFU.  This will be the first post of many for the duration of this course.  So far the course content seems fairly interesting.  It has topics ranging from classic Greek tragedies, to modern works, and video games.  I have played video games all my life, and because of that I am very excited to be able to play Bioshock Infinite as well as other smaller projects for educational purposes.

I have had experience using blogs since the early days of Angel Fire and now more recently, Tumblr.  In addition to that I read quite a bit of articles published online from various outlets including Engadget, Joystiq, TheVerge, and many others.  The amount of online articles and blogs is vast and continuously growing every day.  Themes and topics range from everything to anything which can make the act of blogging interesting and addicting.  As such, blogs are a window to someone’s mind.  It is very easy to find out a specific individual’s interests because of the ease of access.  Everything is out in the open and someone, somewhere can and will see your content regardless if it’s “private” or not.

I look forward to working with everyone and seeing their opinions/point of views this semester.
